The Innocents

  • Studio Z 275 East Fourth Street Suite 200 St. Paul, MN (map)

Please join the Innocence Project of Minnesota for a special one-hour dramatic performance of The Innocents, by artists John Lane and Allen Otte. This piece is social justice advocacy through performance art that explores issues surrounding wrongful imprisonment and exoneration in the American criminal justice system: mistaken identity, incarceration, injustice, politics, psychology, and resilience.

The work, using a variety of found-object and home-made instruments, electronic soundscapes, and spoken texts, delves deeply into the issues and cuts to the emotional core of the human experience surrounding wrongful incarceration.

Following the 2:00pm performance on Sunday, November 10, there will be a discussion and opportunity for questions with the artists and Sara Jones, Executive Director of the Innocence Project of Minnesota.
